Yes, don’t worry, the Freeware Mission continues. I have only a few more great freeware programs to install and after that I’ll have my PC running as it did before the crash… but this time it will have only freeware programs installed! Here we go again, the Freeware Mission continues towards its goal, a freeware only PC! I’ll pick a small freeware program today, something nice and easy that can run in the background and show me the CPU and memory usage right in the system tray.

I confess: I’m a maniac when it comes to getting information about the various components in my PC. And I like to test those components a lot too. Recently I came across a nice freeware program called PC Wizard 2008, which offers a lot of goodies with a neat interface. Let’s check it out.
You can get the program downloaded and installed in only a couple of minutes. And after that, all the information that you could possibly want about your computer is at your fingertips.

One of the best freeware programs around, SIW (System Information for WIndows) is getting even better. A new version was released, here’s the goodies list:

Added Firefox 3 support.
Added Hyper-V support.
Fixed the “Secrets” module.
Fixed the “Neighborhood Scan” module.
Updated device database.
Minor improvements.

I told you a couple of moths ago about a wonderful piece of freeware called SIW (System Information for Windows). The author of this free software has recently updated it. The new version has a new hardware module, enhanced sensors database, updated devices database, plus some minor improvements and bugfixes.
