Update Notifier – Free Software Update Program

Update Notifier is a small freeware program that scans your computer for installed software and then searches for updates to the respective programs. It’s easy to use and it also has a portable version that can be run from an USB stick.

Here we are, the last episode of the Freeware Mission. Or the last episode before the grand finale. I’ve installed 50 freeware programs since the beginning, and my PC is feeling great with only freeware in it! I think it’s normal that the last freeware program that will be installed, the 51st, is a software update monitoring tool, a program that will automatically search for updates for my installed freeware programs.

uTorrent, recently picked here as the Best Free BitTorrent Client is still keeping us waiting for the final v1.8 release. The sixth release candidate was made public, with only two fixes:
– Fix: loading of skins (enabled and disabled images, flags)
– Fix: crash with Change Location dialog when adding torrents
Well, that makes me hope that the next release will be the real thing!
