AlfaClock is a small freeware program that replaces your Windows tray clock with a better clock, with a lot more features.
Review

The main reason that pushed me to search for a Windows tray clock replacement is that most times I don’t know the date, I have some problems with the calendar I might say. So I wanted a freeware program that could show me date, time and maybe give me some more features without having a huge memory footprint.
So here’s AlfaClock.

It’s Holiday Season, everybody is looking forward to spending some cheerful days with friends and family, giving presents and smiling. I don’t want to make your Holidays less happy, but I must remind you that there are people that can’t be truly happy right now. That is not your fault, but there must be something you or me can do about it.
I’m talking about the families of our beloved soldiers, our heroes that are serving somewhere around the world right now. They can’t be with their families, their wives and …

Launchy is an open source Windows and Linux program that helps you to launch the program you need without browsing through your Start Menu or looking for a shortcut on your desktop.
Review

I guess you all know about Launchy. If you don’t, download it now, don’t wait until tomorrow. I was a little bit reluctant at first. I thought that I didn’t need a program to launch other programs. After trying Launchy I admit I was wrong.

I must say that what I like best about the holiday season is that most companies provide great offers and discounts for their customers. And the offer I found today is one of the best around. But you must hurry, it ends on the 5th of December!
What is it about? Phone, internet and television, the ultimate bundle offered by Charter to start off your black friday. Trust me, it’s quite an offer, an offer you can’t refuse as some would say. You get unlimited phonecalls, a 10 Mbps high speed …

Free Commander is a freeware file manager, a good alternative to the standard Windows file manager.
Review

Many of the readers that commented on my Freeware Mission post pointed out that the list was missing a file manager. I admit that that was quite a mistake, and now I’m trying to make things right. I chose to test FreeCommander because it’s 100% freeware, unlike other programs in this category. The first thing that I checked is its memory resources consumption, and I must say it’s quite lightweight, only 13 MB.

Holiday season is knocking on our doors, and when I’m thinking about December I always remember that I have to spend a lot of money on gifts. Well, I’ll receive some gifts too, because my birthday is in December, on the 23rd. But that’s not the point. In December we’re all acting Santa, giving stuff to the people we love. Could we spare some money in the process? That would be great.
Kmart seems to try helping us with that. There are a lot of discount deals over there if you shop …

Dropbox is a free program and web service that allows you to share files with the world.
Review

Drobpox was recommended to me by some of my users who liked it better than the free file sharing program that I was using, Giga Tribe. After quite a long while I decided to give it a go.
After you download the program you must set up an account with name, email address and, of course, a password.
