CPU-Z – Know About You CPU

by Dwarka Rao 19 January 2010 One Comment

We always check for the latest pieces of software available on World Wide Web and keep our computer updated with the same. But how often we think about the hardware installed in our machine.

Hardware is an important part of a computer as it is the most fundamental part. But once we buy a computer, we hardly think about it. So, here is a free program namely CPU-Z, which lets you stay close to your system’s hardware.

CPU-Z is a freeware which gathers all the information about your hardware and displays you the same which include details like name, number, Core stepping and process, Cache information, Core voltage, Frequency and timings, memory, graphic interface, BIOS model and date, Chipset info and much more.

With CPU-Z you can get to know about those parameters of your CPU which you have never thought of and lets you plan a compatible software and hardware up gradation.

  • Easy to use as you can install it and simply run it
  • Once you launch the program, it performs automatically
  • Shows you some critical info that you might not have known in any other way
  • Gathers information about CPU, Mainboard, Memory and System
  • Provides in depth information

The kernel mode driver used by CPU-Z is installed on the system, that avoids to install / remove it at every run. That makes the process more stable and slightly faster.

You need not put any extra effort to make it work after its installation. All you need to do is, ”LAUNCH IT.” And the CPU-Z will automatically gather all the required information and will supply you with the same. This depicts its reliability.

To be frank enough, to hardly need to make much use of its interface. Once you launch it, it displays the information.

The best part about CPU-Z is that you need not put any special and extra efforts to make it work. It follows one simple logic, “INSTALL and RUN” and it will show you all the so called undercover information about your computer’s hardware.

  • Lightweight
  • User friendly graphical interface
  • It hardly shows its presence when it comes to consuming your computer’s resources
  • It is completely free

  • I bet if you find any

CPU-Z is one of those programs which MUST be present on every computer. As this program is one of its kind. You might not come across any program which lets you know about your hardware in a matter of few seconds without much of efforts. CPU-Z is one useful program which helps you in so many ways by letting you know much more about your computer’s hardware.
