Sublight is free Windows application with nice user interface which allows you to download subtitles for your movies easily and quickly. It can be used by inexperienced and experienced users. It can search based on different criteria such as movie title, year created and more. You can see the results in a list, preview and download the titles you want. Application is currently translated in ten languages (Arabic, English, French, German, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese [Brazil], Serbian, Slovenian and Spanish) and supports 46 subtitle languages.

Nowdays we download a lot of movies and TV shows in AVI and other movie formats that rarely have subtitles or captioning. Also many times the auction or music is loader than words. Sublight help you see and understand everything said. I was able to find subtitles for every movie or TV show I tried. The service is updated very regularly and it really works great.
If you are not using Sublight you have to do all the work manually. You have to find subtitles (usually download as a SRT or a SUB file) and try to implement them in your movie or TV show

Interface

My first impression when I first saw the program was “This will be a very hard to use piece of sot ware” Well, after I used it few times, everything was easy to understand and use. It has a great user manual that describes every functionality

User Friendly
A little hard to use till you get use to it. It also supports keyboard shortcuts. Below is a short description of its basic use:

• click “Subtitles search” tab, click “Choose…” button and select your video file for which you want to find subtitles
• if video title is detected you can click one of two buttons (optional):
  • “This title is correct.” or
  • “This title is not correct.” (if title is not correctly detected then please go to step “1.2 – Manual search”)
• if video title is not detected then please go to step “1.2 – Manual search”
• click “Search subtitles” button
• double click subtitle from list and your video player should launch (subtitle will load automatically)

If you a register user with Sublight you can collect points contributing pro-actively. Such users have better privileges when receiving support and getting new downloads.
