TheLetterEncrypter – Simple Freeware Text Encrypter
Once you set the password your text will turn into some bizarre characters that nobody could understand. Maybe the C.I.A. would have no problems in decrypting it but your wife or kid would certainly have some problems.
Then you can export the encrypted text and send it to somebody, then give him the password and it he imports the text into the program and types in the right password… kaboom, there’s the text!
I told you, it’s extremely easy! The program needs Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 to work and it only supports .txt files.

Verdict
TheLetterEncrypter might be useful if you want to send “secret” messages to somebody. I don’t know anything about the encryption algorithm, the author doesn’t give any details, but I doubt that it’s something very complex. Anyway, if the “secret” isn’t too big you could trust this small freeware program to keep it.

Hi Johnny,
Thanks for including my TheLetterEncrypter.
Of course I can’t give any details about the encryption algorithm (although if I did even then encrypted messages can’t be decrypted without the correct password).
However I can safely tell you that encryption is quite strong.
Maybe the C.I.A. can decrypt it but I can give my word that they’d have to use their best cryptographers to do that.
If you will use a password of length 7-8 alpha-numerals then I assure you decrypting the encrypted message will be a colossal task.
Even if the secret is big you can trust TheLetterEncrypter to keep it.
I have one doubt though.
Can you tell me what advanced features you want?
I’ll include them all in the next release(probably next year, I’ve got my JEE exam (entrance exam to Indian Institutes of Technology))
Wish me luck!!
Have you got a logo or banner that I can display on my site?
@Prankur
You can grab the logo from the contact page. About the features, I suggest adding something like “encrypt and send to email” and maybe support for .doc files. I’ll let you know if I come up with other ideas and maybe some of the readers will have some suggestions for the future versions. Anyway, it’s a great program, keep up the good work!
Hi Johnny,
The logo in your contact page is for 5 stars and you have given my app 4 stars.
Thus I can’t use it.
Haven’t you got any other logo?
You can use that one, don’t worry. And good luck with your exams!
Hey thanks Johnny!!
