Net Traffic Meter – Free Network Traffic Counter

by James 14 November 2009 One Comment

Features Overview

  • Allows the user to monitor the traffic on a network or modem interface.
  • Has an alert feature that enables you to set alerts and be notified when specific upload/download targets are reached.
  • Fairly customizable and easy to use.

My friend Jim Ord asked me a few days ago about a freeware network traffic counter and, as promised, I tried to find a good one to review. There are several shareware programs available but I found only a few freeware ones, maybe if you know more such free programs you could let me know. So let’s see how the program works.

Net Traffic Meter is a freeware program that monitors your network activity and provides statistics and alerts about your bandwidth usage. Once you install the program you have to identify your network connection and set the connection speed if you want.
