July, Best Month For Best Freeware
The hot month of July is now officially over. It was the best month for this blog so far, the sixth month of its existence. I’ll give you some quick statistics about the traffic and the income it has seen in July.
The traffic was by far the best so far, 4631 unique visitors, about 150 unique visitors daily. That was my goal for July, the next goal will be to have 175 visitors per day in August. A fellow blogger asked me to tell him “the secret” of this traffic rise. There’s no secret, just write good content. No tricks, nothing. Just write. I wrote 31 posts in July, one per day. Maybe I could have written more, but I had a difficult time during the first week because of some problems. And another thing: I changed the layout, made it friendlier and nicer.
And now, some quick statistics about my visitors.
Country
1. U.S.A. – 35%
2. U.K. – 12%
3. Germany- 8%
4. India – 4%
5. Canada – 3%
The city that provided the most visitors was… Austin, Texas, U.S.A.
Browser
1. Firefox3 – 34%
2. IE 6 – 23%
3. IE 7 – 19%
4. Firefox2 – 18%
5. Opera – 2%
Operating System
1. Windows XP – 80%
2. Windows Vista – 12%
3. Windows 2003 – 2%
4. Linux – 2%
5. Mac OSx – 2%
Now about the cash. I used this month to test several advertising solutions and income sources. I gave up on some of them (AdBrite, BidVertiser, Chitika – maybe I’ll give this one another shot later, SponsoredReviews.com). The ones I’ve decided to keep are:
AdSense – earned about 17 bucks this month
Kontera – about 5 bucks
Amazon – nothing so far ![]()
PayPerPost – 25 bucks
SocialSpark- 25 bucks or so.
I also decided to stick with Net Audio Ads hoping that it will get going someday.
And I have about 30 bucks earned before. What am I going to do with all that money? I have a specific goal in mind. I’ll get myself a domain and hosting and move this blog where it should be, on its own domain. I found two companies that offer free domains if you pay for their hosting services, and both of them require payment in advance for one year or two years. Or maybe three years, but I don’t think I can afford that. It should cost me between 85 and 130 dollars. So that’s the money I want to get right now, to get the domain and the hosting in place. Maybe there will be some money left, which I intend to spend on AdWords. The purpose will be to have the blog finance itself, to pay for the hosting and the advertising from its own income, not from my pocket.
That’s about if for July. Huge thanks to all my visitors and to the people that subscribed to my RSS feed. I’m working hard right now on the Freeware Mission, hoping to give you the best essential freeware programs that would allow you to have a computer with only freeware programs installed. See you around!

i do not have any good experience with Bidvertiser, they pay lower than Adbrite so i do not use them on my website.’*`
I have used Kontera on one of my blogs and i earn good from this ad program.-.`
i would prefer Infolinks over Kontera because they pay much better.*,-
