CrystalDiskInfo – All You Want To Know About Your HDD

by James 22 November 2008 No Comment

Hard disk drives are very important in a computer system, but unfortunately they are the ones that can fail and leave you with a heartache. Having a program that can show you the health of your hard disks is very useful. If you see that it’s going down, back up the data and go buy a new one! CrystalDiskInfo is a freeware program that allows you to check the status of your HDDs. Let’s give it a spin.

You don’t need to install the program, just unpack the .zip file to a folder and you’re ready to go. The package is very small to, just under 1 MB. As you can see, I have 4 hard disk drives, 3 Western Digital and one Maxtor. The information that this software provides is very good, temperature, health status and a load of other useful things.

It also has a graph module, where you can check out in real time an impressive amount of parameters.

It works on all Windows platforms starting with NT and 2000, up to Windows XP and Windows Vista.
I don’t think I need to say more, this really is a good piece of freeware, very useful and reliable.
You can download it from here, it’s free!
