FLV files are becoming more and more popular on the web. Basically it’s the most common option you have when you want to post video content online. Converting your media files to FLV becomes a necessity, and Riva FLV Encoder might be the program you need. Of course, it’s free.

First you select your input file and output directory, easy enough. I chose to test the program with a .ts file, a recording made with my satellite receiver.

The nice thing is that you can choose the resolution of the output .flv file, tick or untick the deinterlace option, choose bitrate and audio options. You don’t have any advanced settings, but as long as it’s free and quick it’s ok.

After you select all the thing you need click “ENCODE” and the engines will start running. When the process end you’ll see a note saying “Encoding successful” and you’re done.
