ScreenHunter 5.0 Free – Screen Capture for free

by James 22 November 2008 4 Comments

This evening somebody asked me for some screen captures. I had no software for that purpose, so I trusted Saint Google. Most of the screen capture programs were commercial, but finally I found this little one: ScreenHunter 5.0 Free. And it did the job. The following screen capture is made with this program.

The program has also a Pro version, but I don’t need that for now. ScreenHunter 5.0 Free has all the things that I needed: you can choose the destination path for the created file, the format of the picture (bitmap, jpeg or gif), capture to clipboard or to file and what to capture: whole screen, active window or part of the window. It minimizes into the system tray, so you can set up the window that you want to capture, hit the F6 key and bingo: there’s your screen capture!

You can download it from here.

When you install the software you can choose to install the wisdom-soft toolbar. I chose not to.

hi. i made a screenshot software myself. perhaps you can have a look on it (its called tb-screenshot) Download
It is comfortable because you have it in the systray and you simple can select a screen region and press enter to save it in your clipboard and as jpg file.

I’ll give it a try, but does it have English interface too? Because the link you gave points to a German website, and I’m not very good with the “deutsche sprache” 🙂
